2015-present time

Yandex, Moscow, Russia

Software Developer

In 2015 I've decided to move back to Moscow and after several interviews got a job at Yandex. Yandex is one of the largest internet companies in Europe, operating Russia’s most popular search engine and its most visited website. Yandex asks all its employees to sign an NDA, so I can't share any details on what projects I am working on and what goals I've achieved with my team, but believe me – we've done a lot and it was cool.

I became a team lead of the newly-formed team. Since spring of 2013, we have built a specialized content management system for Russian Jaguar and Land Rover car dealers.

FOSS contributions
  • I am a translator of Django into Russian since 2011.
  • I've reported a number of issues to Django's bugtracker. Great percent of them was fixed with the help of patches I've written. The best thing I made for Django is, in my opinion, making lazy plural translation usable.
  • I've proposed more then 40 pull requests for different FOSS projects on Github. Most of them were eventually merged into an upstream.
Contests I've made it into the first thousand of contestants of Google Code Jam in 2012
